The Boss

I GOT NEW GLASSES
AND A COLD THAT NEEDS TO GO
NO JACKET  NEEDED

I heard "Racing In The Streets" this morning. Springsteen, he's one of my favorite writers. I've got a ton of his stuff, like everything he did from 73 to 87 on compact disc or vinyl. Yeah I heard about him in 84 when almost everybody else did. "Born In The USA" but all I ever heard for the next 15 years, was only what the radio would play. And we all know now that the radio isn't spinning the meats and taters off those records.
So one night I was at an open mic in Paris, and this was about a year before I could play guitar. I heard Allan Hubbard play "One Step Up". And I was blown away. So then I started my dig, yeah The Boss is great. Remember that Chris LeDoux hit "Tougher Than The Rest"? Springsteen wrote it. Remember when Levon Helm and The Band did "Atlantic City" and everybody went crazy? Yep Springsteen wrote that one too.
My favorite album is Nebraska, if you've never heard that one, check it out.
And probably my favorite Springsteen tune is "Terry's Song". It's a hidden track off of his record Magic. Oh I almost forgot "The Wish" dang that's a good song. It's about his Momma, and Guy Clark says the best way to strengthen your chances of skipping through those pearly gates. Is to write a song about your Mom. I've written two, working on a third.
Anyways, that's how that goes.
